Welcome to
Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
Spring Congregational Meeting May 20, 2012
Join us for a two-part book discussion on "The Death of Josseline: Immigration Stories from the Arizona Borderlands" by Margaret Regan on Wednesdays, June 6 and June 13 at 7:00pm at Denton UU Fellowship, 1111 Cordell Street.
"The Death of Josseline" by Margaret Regan presents a series of intimate stories from immigrants, activists, human rights workers, and border patrol people. Through their stories, the book explores the ethical, moral, and spiritual challenges presented by the complex immigration issues on the border, evoking our human response, rather than a political or policy debate. Regan calls us to the religious act of bearing witness to brutality and despair along with extraordinary courage and commitment.
A limited number of books are available for purchase from DUUF for $13. Please call 940-566-1286 for more information. Books are also available online through major booksellers and as e-reader books. Purchase here and a portion is returned to the congregation.
